The Queen formally opens the new Centre where she and Prince William are shown the latest weapons and tactics used in counter-intelligence operations. The centre is so sensitive to British national security that cameras were not allowed.
The British Ministry of Defense’s heavy-duty Center in Wiltshire played a major role in investigating and tracing the nerve gas Novichock used in Salisbury in 2018 against former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter. The royals met with the scientists who identified the poison.
The royals were also proposed to microbiologists working with the NHS on research and analysis of the Covid-19 virus.
Since the Queen was in lockdown in March about the coronavirus, she has not carried out any official obligations until Thursday.
